Rick And Morty: All Season 2 Episodes Ranked
7. Big Trouble In Little Sanchez
Second only to Pickle Rick (and perhaps Mr Meeseeks), Tiny Rick is the most popular and franchisable character in Rick and Morty.
Introduced in this brilliant teen-themed episode, his character songs and catchphrase ("I'M TINY RIIIICK!") make him instantly recognisable to any Rick and Morty fan.
Big Trouble in Little Sanchez sees Rick transfer his consciousness into a teenage clone of himself - a clone who becomes the star attraction of the episode - in order to hunt down vampires in Morty's and Summer's school.
Following all the codes and conventions of the teen genre, from proms to adolescent angst, the episode is both emotional and wildly entertaining.
"Operation Phoenix", which becomes a key plot point in the first episode of season four, is also introduced here, though with the bloody end it meets at the end of the episode, nobody could have anticipated the return of this idea. Undoubtedly the operation will be seen again in future episodes, as it's an idea holding much potential.
The show's trademark themes of existentialism are prevalent here, adding the familiar Rick and Morty feel to this episode that is more a teen drama than a sci-fi adventure show. Even without the familiar themes, this would still be an excellent entry in the series
