Riverdale: 10 Characters Who Deserve More Love

3. Kevin Keller

Riverdale Josie McCoy
The CW

Quick-witted Kevin provides great comic dialogue and reliable support to the main Riverdale quartet. Though he's yet to receive a storyline of his own, Kevin's wise words tend to steer the teenage sleuths in the right direction.

It's no wonder Betty and Jughead utilize their most practical friend whenever a situation occurs in the Blossom investigation. The sheriff's son maintains a level head as his companions succumb to countless distractions. Betty and Jughead recruit Kevin to recreate his father's murder board and keep tabs on the latest news in the sheriff's office. Kevin later figures out that the Southside Serpents are most likely involved, a keen observation that ties a lot of facts together.

Kevin's attachment to Joaquin proves to be valuable in the final stretch of the season. Their relationship opens up the underworld of the Serpents, especially when Joaquin leads the Riverdale boys into a bar for a fact-finding mission. Their interactions there begin a chain of events that result in the reveal of Jason Blossom's killer. Joaquin departs Riverdale but not before dropping vital clues which Kevin discloses to the rest of his mystery-minded associates.

The frequent seat filler at the Riverdale lunch table might be overlooked by fans when he's not delivering classic retorts. However, his social networking and sharp mind impact the major occurrences of his community. Kevin's more than a sidekick with funny quips. He provides a much needed kick to Riverdale's most essential plots.
