Seinfeld: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

2. Season 3

Seinfeld shirtless
NBC

There is very little that separates season 3 and 4, but here 3 just edges it because of the sheer strength of every episode individually.

The third season of the show saw it have a 23 episode run and become the show that the first season had shown glimpses of, and the second season had set the trajectory of. This is where Kramer became his most, well Kramer, and the self-obsession of the main characters became very obvious.

Every episode has such life by itself and as part of a wider show. It was the most sitcom(y) the show had ever been, in which they still clearly had so much material left to draw from and the confidence of NBC behind them to push the comedy to places it wouldn't have been allowed to go to before.

For us over here the episode that not so much stands out, because they all do in one way or another, as makes you realise that the show was now operating on another level was 'The Limo'. This is where Jerry and George pretend to be different people in order to catch a ride back from JFK to Manhattan. As it turns out, the limo was meant for a prominent neo-Nazi leader who George has pretended to be, and they are heading for a Nazi rally in the city.
