South Park Parodies Game Of Thrones: The 15 Best Bits

4. Shifting Alliances And Betrayal

With this being a Game of Thrones parody, it is to be expected that there's a healthy dose of betrayal in the mix. With the console war waging, the kids are forced to choose sides and even then alliances are broken as quickly as they're formed. With such a clash of stubborn ideologies friendships are strained to breaking point. This is where we are introduced to one of the more compelling characters in the story, Channel Nine's reporter. He is the catalyst for a lot of the trilogy's conflict, playing both sides against each other for better coverage. He even forces the incestuous brother and sister news team (a nod to Cersei and Jaime Lannister) to incite panic or he'll reveal their secret. As he says in his last scene 'the real winner here was Channel 9 News'. The constant switching of sides and double crosses kept the narrative interesting and ticking along at a good pace which allows you to enjoy the humour but also makes you want to come back for more with each cliff-hanger ending.
