3. What You See On Screen Rarely Reflected Reality

The most difficult part of the book to read is Nana's harrowing account of her assault. It should be read in her own words, so for this article, we will speak about the days that followed.

This attack occurred before filming began on the third season episode Heart Of Stone. That episode features Kira prominently. Though she spoke to her colleagues about what had happened, she still filmed her scenes. In the episode, Kira is encased in a crystalline structure that grows up her body, almost totally encasing her.

She writes about the anxiety this caused within her, dealing with her trauma - as fresh as it was.

This might be difficult for any actor, though the hours of uncomfortable make-up and posture following her assault led to her losing her temper with the crew. This was something she felt she was in the wrong for, though we the reader can only offer our understanding. Visitor dealt with the aftermath of the event for years.
