Star Trek: 10 Species That Can Survive The Vacuum Of Space

1. Q, and other God-like entities

What makes something a God? Is it power, benevolence, knowledge, or maybe just some form of science we do not yet understand?

These are questions that Star Trek loves to tackle head on. Whether it's the benevolent and non-linear Prophets of DS9, the cruelly indifferent Nagilum from TNG, or whatever it is that which Kirk finds at the apex of The Final Frontier, beard and all, the crews of the various ships and stations have come across their fair share of species who seem to straddle this definition.

Of all these, however, none is more famous, or rather infamous, than Q. Starting as a mysterious yet threatening arbiter during the Enterprise-D's mission to Farpoint, Q's various interactions with humans have turned him more of a trickster God. Delighting in using his near omnipotence to challenge, taunt and sometimes even save the beleaguered Starfleet officials, Q and his species as a whole, despite never being truly understood, have found their place as Star Trek mainstays.
