Star Trek Cast: Where Are They Now?

11. Mark Lenard

Star Trek Sarek
CBS

The first Romulan face ever seen on television (along with the first Klingon face in cinema), Mark Lenard will best be remembered for originating the role of Sarek, Spock's father, in the episode Journey to Babel. He would go on to appear in three of the films as Sarek and two subsequent episodes of The Next Generation.

Like another Star Trek alum, he appeared in a film version of the story of Jesus Christ. He was one of the three wise men in The Greatest Story Ever Told in 1965. After Star Trek, he went on to appear in Planet of the Apes, Gunsmoke, Little House on the Prarie, Mission Impossible and Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century.

In 1993, he starred, with Walter Koenig, in a play that saw him play a middle-aged Huckleberry Finn, returning to his roots. Koenig played Tom Sawyer.

He was 72 when he passed away from multiple myeloma in 1996.
