Star Trek Characters That Need To Meet Each Other (Somehow)
2. Weyoun And Brunt
While this might seem a bit of a sillier choice, there’s method to our madness. Weyoun is the PR face of the Dominion, attending each meeting, smiling his crocodile smile, ready for anything from bartering to genocide. It’s never a dull day for this Vorta mastermind.
Brunt, on the other hand, is one of the lead members of the Ferengi Commerce Authority. For him, whatever and whomever is good for profit is all good for him. Brunt is also no friend to Starfleet, though he has been kept in check by successive Grand Naguses (Grand Nagii?)
Having Brunt organise a secret meeting with Weyoun to discuss Ferenginar’s position in a post-Starfleet Alpha Quadrant doesn’t just seem like something he might do - it seems as though it almost definitely did happen, and we just haven’t seen it yet. Then, of course, there’s the other reason we’re desperate for this meeting to take place - Jeffery Combs.
Jeffery Combs is the master of disguise, and is such a strong performer that he’s been chosen to return to Trek time and again in different forms and faces. Weyoun and Brunt, along with Shran, are his most well known forms. They, at least, exist in history at the same time - though we wouldn’t say no to Shran popping up either.
Think of the fun of having him appear as both characters in the same scene. To date, the closest we’ve gotten is having both characters appear in the same episode - The Dogs Of War. We were so close!
