Star Trek: EVERY Chief Of Security Ranked From WORST To BEST

15. Freeman - USS Enterprise

Next in line is one Lieutenant Freeman, maybe best remembered for his pre-security trouble with tribbles...and an extra bit of bother with the Deep Space Nine crew. When the Defiant is thrown back in time and her crew thrust into the tribble action, it's actually O'Brien who gets a dressing down from Kirk after the Klingon brawl instead of Freeman. And we have to say, there is a passing resemblance. Sort of.

Despite his past tribulations, Freeman later found a home in security. He even met the infamous Gary Seven...or at least, he locked him up. Same thing really. In a not-so-glorious moment, Gary's 'cat', Isis, got the better of the security chief in a transporter room tussle, but we suspect he leaves that detail out of the anecdote. In fairness, there was a lot more to Isis than meets the eye, but that's a whole other story.

Still, he must have done something right to be given another onscreen outing in the episode And the Children Shall Lead. However, that time, he became the puppet of a mind-controlling child and ended up in a fistfight with Kirk.

Yeah, looking back, Freeman didn't exactly have the best run of luck. You really can't blame him for moving on after all that.
