Star Trek: EVERY Chief Of Security Ranked From WORST To BEST

14. Dickerson - USS Enterprise

And so we come to our final fleeting chief of The Original Series. Only this time, Lieutenant Dickerson is credited as the chief security guard. We decided that was close enough for our purposes.

This dapper gentleman had one single but very important job in The Savage Curtain: heralding the arrival of Abraham Lincoln on the Enterprise. Yes, you read that correctly.

When the ship is greeted by the esteemed President (who seems to be enjoying a nice, relaxing sit-down in space), Kirk welcomes him aboard with all the fitting honours. How was he supposed to know it would lead to one of the strangest smackdowns of all time? The ultimate battle of good versus evil, with the likes of Kahless and Surak headlining.

As for Dickerson, that's about it. He blows the boatswain's whistle, gets called daft and looks very smart in his white belt. But even then, he's overshadowed by Scotty in his dashing kilt.

But Dickerson did get introduced to Abraham Lincoln, so...that's pretty special.
