Star Trek Voyager Cast: Where Are They Now?

12. Martha Hackett

Star Trek Voyager Seska Bajoran
CBS Media Ventures

Seska was not the first role that Martha Hackett would appear in for Star Trek. She initially auditioned for the role of Jadzia Dax, losing out to Terry Farrell. However, the producers liked her and invited her back a role in All Good Things, although this was later cut.

She was then brought back, this time in Deep Space Nine, appearing in two episodes as the Romulan Sub-Commander T'Rul, who would control the cloaking device on the new USS Defiant. However, this storyline only appeared in The Search before also being cut.

Then, Voyager came along and the character of Seska was created. Hackett was brought in and was told it would be a recurring role, though without any real definition on it. She would go on to appear in thirteen episodes, dying twice along the way! She was disappointed when Seska was initially killed off, though ended up feeling that the exit was strong.

After Voyager, she has gone on to remain active as an actress. She has appeared in shows like Touched by an Angel, Dexter and NCIS, along with films like Never Been Kissed and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. She has appeared, like many other Trek alumni, in various Star Trek video games along the way, both as Seska and as other characters.

While her time on the show might have been short, Seska remains one of Voyager's enduring villains, whether with a ridged nose or a sloping neck!
