Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
4. Season Three
Honestly, the Mortis arc alone would be enough to carry this season to greatness. Tackling the inner darkness of Anakin Skywalker like never before, this was the season that reminded fans that the show wouldn't have a happy ending and that Anakin was destined to fall to the Dark Side. It also features more bounty hunters, a more mature theme than the previous two seasons, and the Citadel prison rescue arc.
As if that wasn't enough, season three also sees Ventress betrayed by her master and introduced fans to Savage Opress, brother of Maul, whose return stars to get teased.
There are a couple of out of place entries, mainly involving the droids and the final wookie hunt arc, but everything outside of that is just too awesome to fault. That being said, aside from the Mortis Trilogy, it could be argued that the season wasn't pushing itself as later seasons would, and was still setting things up for the stories to come.
Best Episodes: The Citadel, The Mortis Trilogy, Monster, Clone Cadets
