Stargate Atlantis Cast: Where Are They Now?

5. Robert Picardo

Stargate Atlantis Woolsey
MGM

Robert Picardo is, thanks to Star Trek: Voyager, a very familiar name in sci-fi circles. He appeared for seven years as the Emergency Medical Hologram, also appearing as that hologram's designer, Dr. Lewis Zimmerman, from time to time. He also guest starred on Star Trek: Enterprise.

He first appeared in Stargate SG-1 in the seventh season episode Heroes, playing Richard Woolsey - a member of the IOA tasked by making the SGC accountable for the billions of dollars it cost to run. While he would act as an antagonist for a while, he was actually a kind hearted figure (deep down) who would eventually come to lead the Atlantis expedition, replacing Samantha Carter.

Picardo has remained very active, not just in his acting career but his singing career. He is an accomplished singer, with this aspect being written into his character on Star Trek. He has recently appeared in the Orville as well.

Unsurprisingly, he also guest starred in Supernatural - both shows seem to share the same selection of actors for the most part!
