Stargate: Every System Lord Ranked Worst To Best

11. Cronus

Cronus was, at a time, one of the most influential System Lords. He was allied with Supreme System Lord Ra, and was a sworn enemy of Apophis. With the death of Ra, he, Apophis and Heru'ur claimed most of the territory left behind. It was assumed by Teal'c that Cronus used his influence to convince the System Lords not to join Apophis and Klor'el in their attack on Earth.

He was however, indirectly, responsible for the alliance between Earth and the Tok'ra, as it was he who planted a spy in the Tok'ra's ranks, searching for Jolinar - the Tok'ra operative who 'borrowed' Samantha Carter for a time.

Teal'c and he had personal history, as Teal'c's father had been his First Prime. Upon ordering a retreat in battle, Cronus ordered that the man be killed, slowly and horribly. Teal'c swore that he would become the strongest of the Jaffa, so that he could rise in the ranks and become First Prime to Apophis, knowing that this would bring him into conflict with Cronus again in the future.

He eventually took control of the planet Juna. This led him to encounter robotic copies of SG-1 (long story), which in turn damaged his position as a god among the people. He was eventually killed when the robotic Teal'c and flesh and blood Teal'c teamed up, killing him with a staff weapon.
