With For the Girl Who Has Everything, Supergirl as a show again showed that its not afraid to pull from the comic book realm for inspiration. The Superman story known as For the Man Who Has Everything sees the plant-like Black Mercy attach itself to Superman and send him into a dream-like status in which Krypton didnt get destroyed. So yep, exactly the same as what we saw happen to Supergirl here. Given the vast array of classic comic book stories out there, both for Supergirl and for Superman, itll be interesting to see what, if any, other comic arcs or one-shots are used as inspiration as CBS Supergirl speeds forward.
