3. It's Set In The Same Timeline As The Mandalorian

Despite the bulk of The Book of Boba Fett’s core story remaining under wraps, one crucial detail has been confirmed: it is going to be set in the same timeline as The Mandalorian.

Taking place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, TBOBF will also exist in the greater Star Wars universe along-side Ashoka and Rangers of the New Republic. Keeping this in mind, considering that each of The Mandalorian’s spin-off series will culminate in one overarching story, it’s safe to say that TBOBF will likely contain at least some crossover with the other Disney+ shows.

Will we see Fett help or hinder Din Djarin in the future? Will he be involved in Bo-Katan Kryze’s endeavour to reclaim Mandalore? Will Fett butt heads with the titular Ranger of the New Republic? Will Thrawn be involved? It is all very possible.

Although no plot details have been revealed as of yet, judging by the sneak peek we got after The Mandalorian’s finale, it is safe to say it will deal with Fett’s acquisition of Jabba’s palace. What the series will involve beyond that is up for speculation.

Is Fett attempting to establish himself as a new crime kingpin on Tatooine? Will rival bounty hunters such as Bossk or IG-88 try to dethrone him? What will the Hutts have to say about Fett laying claim to Jabba’s old home? Only time will tell.
