The Boys Season 3: 10 Biggest WTF Moments
8. Charlize Theron Makes An Appearance
One thing that's allowed the third season of The Boys to stand out is the cameos. Jimmy Fallon, Haley Joel Osment, and Patton Oswalt may have popped up in the previous seasons, but the most recent one is crammed with so many Hollywood stars, it's easy to forget half of them. Josh Gad, Mila Kunis, Kumali Nanjiani, Ashton Kutcher, and Aisha Tyler are but a handful of A-listers that make an appearance.
But the one cameo that none of us saw coming occurred in the season's opening. The first episode begins with a scene from The Seven's "autobiographical" adventure, Dawn of The Seven. Because former member, Stormfront, was exposed as a Nazi, the film was recut to depict her as the villain.
Although viewers may have assumed Stormfront's face would be obscured for her scenes, we were surprised to see she was portrayed by Charlize Theron. Because there was no indication the South African Oscar winner would be showing up in The Boys, viewers were side-swiped by this reveal.
And because Theron cameoed in the post-credits scene in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this is the second time in less than two months Theron has appeared unannounced in a superhero-themed adaptation.
