The Daily Show: 10 Hosts Who Should Replace Jon Stewart

4. Hari Kondabolu

If you want a talented comedian who is switched onto international and race issues, though, you could do worse than Hari Kondabolu. The stand-up has been making a name for himself with appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, and has shown up on countless Comedy Central specials in the recent past as well. Last year he released his first stand-up album, Waiting for 2042 €“ a reference to far-flung future date when White Americans may be a statistical minority in the United States €“ which was pretty great, and between 2012 and 2013 he was on the writing staff for the observational comedy show Totally Biased with W Kamau Bell. A show which frequently drew on recent news stories and current events, much as Kondabolu's stand up does, with most episodes being recorded the day they aired...much like The Daily Show. And Kondabolu occasionally made appearances as a correspondent....much like The Daily Show.
