24. Jewel - Jessica Jones

The fifth episode of Jessica Jones features a flashback sequence further exploring the relationship between Trish and Jessica and establishing that Trish once tried to convince Jessica to use her powers for good, going to the extent of designing her an outfit and coming up with a new super-name - "Jewel."

The costume that she reveals is a near clone of the outfit Jones wore when she was Jewel in the comics before she abandoned that path.

Her name comes up when she first meets Kilgrave too - impressed by her fighting skills, he asks what her superhero name is rather than her real name, inverting these panels from the comics...
