The Flash: 10 Characters Who Should Join Season 3

1. The Black Racer

The Flash Black Racer
DC Comics

The Black Racer is essentially DC’s God of Death, and as such is a hugely powerful character. Not only that, but he also has ties to Barry Allen.

In the comic book realm, so powerful is The Black Racer that he actually killed Darkseid. Yes, that Darkseid, as in the same guy who can usually keep the entire Justice League at bay with one hand tied behind his back.

Following the fall of Darkseid, this definition of destruction actually possessed Barry and made The Flash the new instrument of Death in the DC world.

Now whilst that led to some truly awesome visuals of a maniacal, carnage-delivering Flash, what would be even cooler is if The CW’s show somehow managed to make last year’s ‘big bad’ Zoom into a new take on The Black Racer. The way that Hunter Zolomon felt the wrath of a Time Wraith in Season 2’s final moments could easily lend itself to having Zoom return as The Black Racer at some point in the future.

Whether the show opted to use Zoom in this role or not, The Black Racer is an entity that would give Season 3 a truly fear-inducing presence and up the intensity of what lies ahead for Grant Gustin's Barry Allen.
