The Flash: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

8. Henry Allen

Flash Flashpoint
The CW

Henry Allen was, in many ways, the heart and soul of everything that the first season of The Flash symbolized. Not only was he just as much of a victim of Nora Allen's death as Barry, he was the one wrongly accused of his wife's murder and this led to him spending over a decade in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

One of those rare characters who could make you smile as soon as you saw his face, there was an undeniable light that surrounded Henry, a warmth that just made you want to root for him because you knew he deserved to be a free man. And every single one of his visits from Barry had fans bawling their eyes out.

It was an injustice to the character to kill him off just when he obtained his freedom because neither he nor Barry deserved that. And as amazing as the incomparable John Wesley Shipp is as Jay Garrick, he'll always have a place in our hearts because of his fine performance as Henry.
