The Flash: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

7. Joe West

Flash Flashpoint
The CW

A character that is undoubtedly the unsung foundation of the show, Joe West is responsible for holding just about every other character on the show together. However, when 'Papa Joe' isn't administering some much-needed advice to his family, he's busy doing the exact same thing that the superheroes do (only without the costume) - catching the bad guys. That, in itself, is an example of how far he has come during his five year journey on the show.

Originally a somewhat closed-minded individual, he lived his life as if it were his own investigation, refusing to believe anything that couldn't be physically proven - an outlook that created a lot of conflict with Barry.

However, all that went out the window when his surrogate son became Central City's super-powered saviour and, as a result, he las learned to accept the absolutely lunacy that Team Flash faces these days. Now that's character growth.
