The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Gorilla Warfare'

4. Why Did Grodd Want To Create More Super Gorillas?

Grodd starts controlling Caitlin because he wants her help in creating another super gorilla, because obviously having just one isn't enough. I'm not complaining, because it meant a) Grodd had a reason to return, and b) we got to see Caitlin punch Cisco in the face, which was massively entertaining. However, what's never really cleared up is just why Grodd wants to make another animal like him, or indeed how many he intends on creating. Is this a case of the lonely monster, who doesn't want to be the only one of his kind in the world? Or does he have some grander plan, i.e. building an army of giant, talking, psychic, super-powerful gorillas? (Please be the latter, please be the latter...)
