The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Gorilla Warfare'
3. Is That The Last We've Seen Of Grodd?
The climax to the battle with Grodd ends in forcing him through one of the breaches between Earth One and Two, that leads to a place Harry Wells says the gorilla won't be alone, and can be amongst his own kind. Just what kind of world is this? Well, we get a pretty good look at it in the episode's sting. Welcome, then, to Gorilla City! The city, hidden deep in the African jungle, is where Grodd is originally from in the comics, and home to an entire race of super powered, intelligent, telepathic gorillas. To use one of the most overused puns in TV the last year or so, Oh My Grodd! Is this the last we've seen of Grodd, or will he find some way of returning later down the line (probably Season 3, given how much it must take to get him on the screen so successfully)? And if he does return, could we actually spend some time in Gorilla City with him and the other gorillas, such as King Solovar? The Flash has been incredibly fan-pleasing in its short run so far, so nothing may be off the cards, but that could be asking a bit too much at this stage. Maybe if we say please?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
