The Flash Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen

9. An Interesting Iris

If there was one problem with The Flash's first run, a slight stumble in its season-long sprint, it was the character of Iris West. She was stuck in a love triangle, dating Eddie Thawne, her dad's partner in the police force, but also the object of Barry's affections, the man she'd grown up with and looked at like a brother. That was the weakest part of the show, and it certainly didn't help that Iris was pretty much the only person not to know Flash's not-so-secret identity. Once it was revealed to her, the character grew as a result, and now she's going to be much more on the inside of Team Flash. She'll be working with the S.T.A.R. Labs team while also building her career, and there's now a chance for her to become a genuinely interesting character and useful part of the team. Hopefully it's one the show grasps with both hands.
