With this sister now safe and with no need to pull the trigger, Captain Cold decides to fire his Cold Gun at his father and effectively take his life. It was an unneeded step, as pointed out by The Flash, but it was one that we could all see coming (after all, Captain Cold is a villain for now) and one that had apparently been a long-time coming for thorough bad egg Lewis Snart. Cold explained that working with The Flash was the lesser of two evils, and its certainly not the last time that well see these odd bedfellows working together, as further highlighted by Barry even visiting his new bestest bud in Iron Heights.
