The Flash Season 2: 7 Ups And 5 Downs From 'Versus Zoom'

11. No Mention Of Supergirl

Now, I wasn’t exactly expecting CBS’ Maid of Might to pop up and cheesily wave at the camera here, but it would’ve been nice to have had the show acknowledge Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl in some form.

After all, for those who saw The Flash’s crossover appearance in a recent episode of Supergirl, you’ll know that the reason that the Sultan of Speed arrived in the world of Kara Danvers was down to him having been pushing his speed to its limits using a tachyon device.

Here in Versus Zoom, we seemingly saw part of Barry’s meeting with Kara from the viewpoint of The Flash. To elaborate a little further, we saw Barry pushing himself with the assistance of a tachyon device in order to must up enough speed that he could realistically challenge Zoom. It was at this very time, complete with said tachyon device, that The Flash crash-landed in the world of Supergirl.

In this episode, we saw Barry speed off to somewhere, then return without even a passing mention of where he’d been. Clearly he’d been over to the whichever world Kara Zor-El inhabits, and as such it would’ve been nice to have at least gotten a throwaway line of dialogue as a nod to this.
