5. Zoom Is A Split Personality Caused By Velocity Addiction
The CWWhen looking at all of the pieces of evidence, any convincing theory needs to line up with most of them. Considering the multiple versions of Jay Garrick and the evident problems he has with the velocity drug, the idea of an addiction literally overcoming him would work. More than that, this theory proposes that his addiction became so overbearing that he literally spawned a new entity out of it. Like a Jekyll and Hyde scenario so toxic that the host was ripped into two separate forms, this wold be a very powerful physical representation of his addiction. Theres the weak Jay whos lost what makes him special and the demonic Zoom who only wants one thing: more speed. This is exactly the kind of kooky backstory The Flash likes to tell and recently, they proved that they are more or less willing to go down this road. Trajectory dealt with something very similar, having a visually different personality manifest from her addiction. Its not hard to think that Jay experienced something similar, only to have his more prolonged exposure cause even more adverse effects concerning this alternate personality.
