The Flash Season 6 Review: 3 Ups & 5 Downs From 'Love Is A Battlefield'

2. Candice Patton's Performance

The Flash Iris West-Allen
The CW

Say what you will about fake Iris' recklessness and badassery, but there's absolutely no denying Candice Patton's prowess as an actress. The long-time leading lady of The Flash has been getting some long overdue chances to shine this season, and the fake Iris' monologue was among her finest performances yet.

It was hard not to get drawn in as Iris emotionally revealed to Barry how she'd grown as a human being and how she ultimately needed him to understand (and accept) that and, for a moment, it had this writer convinced that it was still the same Iris we knew... even though all the evidence pointed to a reflective impostor. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you work with the audience.

Masterful work from Patton.
