The Flash Supergirl Musical Crossover: 14 Easter Eggs & References In 'Duet' You Need To See

11. Thurston The Magician

Early on in the episode, at Morans, we see a poster on the wall advertising a performance from Thurston The Great Magician.

Rather than just being something created for the show, Thurston actually was a real life magician. His full name was Howard Thurston, and he worked as a stage magician in the early 20th Century. He was billed as the King of Cards because of his tricks, and regarded as the best magician of his time.

There's another layer to this too, though, because advertising a magician sets the stage for DC Comics character Abra Kadabra, who will be appearing on the next episode of The Flash. The poster we see here is even similar to the one advertising Kadabra from The Flash #133.
