The Mandalorian 2.4 Review - 5 Ups And 2 Downs From Chapter 12

2. The TIE Fighter Chase

Overall, I found the action in Chapter 12 to be a bit of a step down compared to last week's episode. Granted there are only so many ways to film a shootout, but everything felt much more static this time around, with lots of ducking and potshots and not much creativity - at least until the TIE fighter chase.

After commandeering an Imperial troop transport, Greef and The Gang make a break for it in the valley below, at first pursued by speeder bikes (which are dealt with easily), but then also by TIEs.

The entire sequence is a testament to The Mandalorian's production quality. We're treated to a nice big explosion with the Imperial facility, and then a starfighter chase worthy of the big screen. It's fast, tense and frenetic, and it's all topped off by the Razor Crest swooping in to save the day.

Season 1 of The Mandalorian was definitely cinematic, but it feels as though things have been taken to an entirely different level in Season 2.
