The problem with lists like these is that you constantly have to weigh the pros and cons of including things other people have pointed out, or that fans by and large know already. However, something important to always remember is that the internet is NOT real life, so there are bound to be a TON of fans watching The Mandalorian who haven't seen everything else.

So with that in mind, let's talk about Bo-Katan for a sec.

Bo-Katan is the only remaining living relative that we know of to the last duchess of Mandalore, Satine, whom we saw in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They had a strenuous relationship, but that didn't stop Bo-Katan from taking it pretty hard when Darth Maul came along and killed her sister in a bid for the throne. Since the fall of Mandalore, Bo-Katan has been the leader of the Nite Owls, a faction of the Mandalorian Death Watch, which we last saw during the events of Star Wars: Rebels.

It was also where we last saw the Darksaber, which was in Bo-Katan's custody. How she lost it to a numpty like Moff Gideon has yet to be explained.
