The Mandalorian Season 2 - Every Director Confirmed So Far
4. Dave Filoni
If there is one figure among the creative team of The Mandalorian more entwined with the wider Star Wars franchise than anybody, then it's got to be Dave Filoni, whose association stretches back to 2008's The Clone Wars film.
As a key force behind the subsequent television series and its sequel Rebels, he seemed a perfect pick to help tackle a live action series and he helped give it the steady start it needed with his work on Chapters 1 and 5. He also made a cameo as pilot Trapper Wolf in Chapter 6.
Like Famuyiwa, he's back for another bite of the cherry following his prior two-episode stint - and even more thrillingly, he looks set to be reunited with what is arguably his defining character contribution to Star Wars in Ahsoka Tano, who is heavily rumoured to appear.
