The Simpsons: 10 Awesome Things You Forgot Ever Happened

8. Grimey's Revenge - The Great Louse Detective (s14e6)

When Frank Grimes started working at Springfield's nuclear power plant, he developed an immediate dislike for Homer. Sadly, Homer's ape-like incompetence drove Grimes insane, causing him to accidentally kill himself.

Despite the fact Grimes only appeared once, he is one of the show's most memorable characters. His episode, Homer's Enemy, is regarded as a classic and is currently the highest rated Simpsons episode on IMDb.

But a lot of people don't realise this storyline had a follow-up. In the episode, The Great Louse Detective, Homer learns someone is trying to kill him. To help understand how a murderer thinks, Homer asks Sideshow Bob to help him deduce the potential killer's identity. In the end, Homer discovers his pursuer is Frank Grimes Jr., who's trying to murder Homer to avenge his father.

This moment stands out as it was a genuinely unexpected twist and a nice way to incorporate one of The Simpsons' strongest episodes. On top of that, it has some of the show's funniest lines. When Homer asks how does Frank Jr exist since Grimey was never married, he confesses that "He happened to like hookers, okay!"
