The Simpsons: 10 Best Ever Treehouse Of Horror Stories

4. Dial Z For Zombies (Treehouse of Horror III)

If there€™s one thing you do not do when you€™re in a horror film and presented with something to read, you absolutely under no circumstances go ahead and read it out loud without being totally sure what kind of bad juju you€™re rustling up. You just don€™t. Not ever. Not even once. Generally, it brings about the end of humanity in some form or other. Bart learns this the hard way when aiming to resuscitate Snowball I but accidentally summoning the reanimated corpses of the entirety of Springfield€™s municipal cemetery.

There€™s something incredibly satisfying about watching Homer go the full Terminator on the zombies, especially Flanders (€œHe was a zombie?€). Aside from all that, any segment which features the phrase, €œIs this the end for zombie Shakespeare?€ is an absolute belter as far as I€™m concerned. The little nod to Alfred Hitchcock in Homer€™s introductory wraparound is cracking too, as is his attempt to swear an oath on a book of carpet samples.
