55. "Hurricane Neddy" S8 E8
Couch Gag: The couch is replaced with a coin slot. When Homer puts a coin in a couch falls from above crushing him
Plot: Hurricane Barbara descends on Springfield but only Ned Flanders house is destroyed. Ned snaps and after insulting the whole town checks himself into an asylum. Its here we learn how Ned was raised and why he suppresses all his angerhis parents were beatniks who did not believe in discipline. The asylum needs Homers help to get Ned to start expressing himself.
Best Gag: Ned's rant at the whole town. Krusty gets ''Oh yeah the clown. The only one of you buffoons who doesn't make me laugh'' Moe gets ''You ugly, hate filled man'' but Ned saves his strongest criticism for Homer when he quietly says to him ''You are the worst human being i ever met''...''Hey i got off pretty easy''
54. "Bart After Dark" S8 E5
Couch Gag: A parody of the Sgt. Peppers album cover
Plot: After damaging a strangers house Bart is forced to work off the debt as punishment. Assuming it will be boring he is pleasantly surprised to discover his new employer is a madam of Springfields premier burlesque house. Marge, horrified at its existence tries to get it shutdown.
Best Gag: Homer's clothing improvisation when answering the door to an irate madam: ''Your son was trespassing on my property and destroyed a very valuable stone gargoyle and...are you wearing a grocery bag?'...''I seemed to have misplaced my pants'' 53. "The Canine Mutiny" S8 E20
Chalkboard Gag: A fire drill does not demand a fire
Plot: Using a fake credit card Bart goes on a shopping spree and buys a pre-trained collie called Laddie who replaces his old dog after a mix up with some Repo men. Even though everyone loves Barts new dog he resolves to get his old one back who is now living with partially sighted Springfield resident Mr Mitchell.
Best Gag: Chief Wiggum, upon finding a bag of marijuana in Mr Mitchells pocket tells Bart to go home as they finish up with Mr Mitchellas other police officers arrive with beer s in one hand and girls on their arm. The episode ends with Wiggum singing Jammin by Bob Marley.
52. "Rosebud'' S5 E4
Couch Gag: The family runs in to see identical copies of themselves already on the couch.
Plot: As Mr Burns approaches his birthday he starts to think about his childhood teddy bear Bobo and how much he misses him. The teddy is now in the possession of Maggie Simpson and Mr Burns will do anything to get his teddy back in this parody of Citizen Kane.
Best Gag: Smithers on the mike in a comedy club: ''I have some sad news to report. A small puppy, not unlike Lassie, was just run over in the parking lot (audience gasps)...and now it's time for the comedy stylings of Homer Simpson!''

Couch Gag: Someone attempts to download the family but cancels after finding it too slow
Plot: Homer starts to ignore new family friend John after finding out he is gay fearing he will have an bad influence on Bart. To ensure Barts manliness Homer, Barney and Moe take Bart deer hunting.
Best Gag: ''I like my beer cold, my TV loud and my homosexuals flaaaaming''
