The Simpsons: 20 Best Itchy And Scratchy Moments
16. Itchy The Lucky Mouse In: Manhattan Madness
From: The Day The Violence Died
This next entry is a parody of early animation (the title coming from Walt Disney's first character Oswald the Lucky Rabbit) and is meant to be the first Itchy and Scratchy cartoon produced, brought to light after Bart discovers original creator Chester J. Lampwick's characters were stolen from him.
In true Itchy style, the little mouse trots down the street only to meet an Irishman ("look out Itchy, he's Irish!") who he wrings through an old clothes wringer - as well bumping into President Teddy Roosevelt ("look at that fat oaf!") and chopping his head off with an axe. This is a memorable short as it shows that Itchy is not just a out for Scratchy and actually has murderous designs on the whole world.
