2. Raiders Of The Lost Ark

In what must surely be The Simpsons' best shot-for-shot remake of a film scene ever, this is a triumphant skit that perfectly spoofs the famous opening to Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
Just as Indy risks life and limb to retrieve the golden idol, Bart does the same to steal Homer's loose change jar.
As well as some domestic obstacles like Maggie's suction darts and a ceiling fan, the best spoof is Homer in place of the giant boulder, as he trips up and falls down the stairs after Bart. He then takes the place of the angry natives as he shouts at Bart as the boy escapes on a school bus.
Fun fact: the scene is so painstaking in its replication of the sequence that they had to ask Steven Spielberg's permission first!
