The Simpsons: Every Treehouse Of Horror Ranked Worst To Best

20. X. I Know What You Diddily Iddily Did; Desperately Xeeking Xena, Life's A Glitch, Then You Die

Say what you want about dated parodies, but I Know What You Diddily Did is actually better than I Know What You Did Last Summer. Which is not all that hard, no matter how improbably well-received that film was with certain slasher fans. The segment includes some knowing Scream-style meta-references, and it's just a shame it wasn't pushed a little further.

Homer's Weekend At Bernie's style use of Flanders' body is a great touch, though.

The segment that sees Lisa and Bart transformed into superheroes to battle Comic Book Guy's The Collector is good on paper, but CBG probably deserved a stronger transformation (he'd be a good - and convincing - John Wayne Gacy for instance. Though maybe that's a bit much).

And finally, the third part centres on a Y2K bug, so it's another that's unfortunately dated: unfortunately too the celebrity cameos used to explain why Homer and Bart would prefer to die prematurely than stay on a doomed spaceship for moments longer served only to make everyone else wish they too could jettison out into space to avoid them.
