14. The Handler

The Handler mostly appears as your run of the mill mysterious corporate handler (hence the rather unimaginative name) who appears when we're already quire invested in the storyline to throw something of a spanner into the works.

This type of role, though mostly perfunctory in shows usually, is typically played by someone notable - a stunt casting - since they're effectively their show's answer to Q from Star Trek (not quite omnipotent but answering to an entirely different level). Here, she's played by the excellent Kate Walsh, who has more than enough charisma to sell the slight role.

She's also able to add a little more edge when she returns towards the edge (with a few more tics in tow), but ultimately she serves a purpose and doesn't do that much.
