The Umbrella Academy Season 2: Ranking EVERY Character From Worst To Best

Lila could have very easily found herself serving as a slightly eccentric girlfriend designed to further Diego's arc, and when she was introduced that's what it initially looked like she was going to be. Imagine everyone's surprise when she turned out to be every bit as integral to the main narrative of Season 2 as he was.

Yes, Lila found herself torn between worlds on numerous occasions throughout the story. The adoptive daughter of The Handler, her conflict was clear from the moment we discovered who she was because, in spite of her best efforts, this lethal potential assassin was beginning to fall for one of the biggest thorns in her mother's side.

As a result of this, she found herself in a morally gray area for most of the season as she tried to keep both sides happy. And the fact that she was caught between these two worlds played into the final chapter beautifully as she discovered that both Five and her adoptive mother had a hand in her real parents' deaths.

The most pleasant of surprises, Lila proved herself - not only as a fighter and potential hero, but as a strong fully-fleshed out character that reached potential we didn't even know she had. And it'd be criminal of Season 3 not to bring her back.
