How It Happened: After beating Abraham to death, Negan taunted a devastated Rosita with the bits of flesh stuck to Lucille, which caused Daryl to lash out and attack the Savior leader. Rather than kill Daryl, Negan demonstrated his twisted idea of consequences by punishing Glenn instead, hitting him so hard with Lucille that his eye popped out before turning his entire head into nothing but pulp.

Why It Was Great: Thanks to the cliffhanger, we knew someone was dead, and once that person was revealed to be Abe, it then made Glenn's surprise death all the more devastating, highlighting Negan's belief in group consequences and sending off one of the show's original, most beloved characters in violent fashion no one will ever forget.
