3. Michonne
Think back to the Season 2 finale. A mysterious figure arrives, hacking down walkers with a sword, saving Andrea, and immediately becoming one of the most intriguing and badass characters on the show in the process. Since then, has she ever lived up to the hype? Well, yes and no. Michonne has been a very good character during her time on the show; not just a strong female, but one of the strongest period. She's great with her katana, but also very good in smaller scenes, emerging as one of the key members of the group. And yet, there's still that feeling that the excitement offered by her first appearance has rarely been replicated. Obviously part of that is just to do with finding out who she is, and the character settling in to the show, but I'd still like to see more of her, because she could be an even better character. Deanna seemingly entrusted her with helping lead Alexandria, so that's one thing to build upon, while she's obviously got the respect of Rick and a nice relationship with Carl. Having her character grow in importance, and get to show off those sword-wielding skills some more too, is the best way to go; killing her certainly isn't an option.
