The Walking Dead: 8 Characters Who Absolutely Cannot Die In Season 6B
2. Glenn Rhee
Glenn Rhee has already 'died' this season, in the biggest TV troll this side of Jon Snow (although at least he has actually died). No, the producers and writers instead made it look as though Glenn's innards were being feasted upon by hoards of hungry walkers, and then left it hanging for a few episodes before, no, surprise, he's alive. Whatever they were trying to do - shock, create a mystery, build suspense - didn't really work. Instead, it was just annoying, especially as it became clear he wasn't actually dead (if you're killing off one of the biggest characters, you don't leave that hanging for a few episodes, as The Walking Dead itself has shown plenty of times). Anyway, now that's over, Glenn can be reintroduced, and he'll be needed: walkers are taking over Alexandria, his wife is pregnant, and Negan is on his way. Oh yes, Negan. It's well-known by now that when he turns up in the comics, it's Glenn he kills to announce his arrival. It's a huge moment, and understandably one many fans are keen to see play out, but what's the point at this stage? They've already done the whole Glenn death thing, so quite a lot of the impact would be lost by killing him off again in Season 6.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
