Battle hardened and hot-headed, Daryl came into the show in the first season and has been around and evolving ever since.

He started out brash, loyal only to himself and his brother.

But with Merle gone, Daryl came into his own, proving to be a compassionate, warm-hearted guy who would do anything for those he cared about. His relationships with Rick, Carol and Judith have been particular strong points, and his current standing as the face of the show is amazing to see considering where he started out.

On top of all this, he’s also the most iconic character on the show thanks to his signature bow, angel wing jacket and motorcycle.

Daryl Dixon is the best character on The Walking Dead (which is saying a lot), and one who only promises to get bigger and better as the show enters its final days.
