The Walking Dead: Every Season 5 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

1. Them

In the end, though, the best episode of The Walking Dead's fifth season has to be Them, which takes place after the deaths of Bob, Beth and Tyreese and follows the remaining Survivors as they wander aimlessly in search of safety.

An episode that primarily deals with the mourning of Daryl, Maggie and Sasha, Them finds the group at their most hopeless and lost. They've no food, no plan, no water, nothing.

With emotionally striking performances from Norman Reedus and Lauren Cohan in particular, the episode reaches its apex when they take shelter from a storm in a run-down barn. Here, Rick gives his unforgettable "We are the walking dead" speech, and the group band together to hold the barn closed against a herd of walkers.

Also featuring the shock introduction of Aaron, Them is an episode all about loss that ends with the group realising they'll be okay as long as they stay together and keep fighting, and at the end of the day that's what The Walking Dead is all about, isn't it?
