The Walking Dead: Every Season 7 Episode Ranked Worst To Best

5. Sing Me A Song

The Walking Dead
AMC

Sing Me a Song is an underrated episode in a season with very few gems, and its strength lies almost entirely with the relationship of Negan and Carl, who's journeyed solo to the Sanctuary to kill the Savior leader.

Though he's stopped from doing too much damage, Negan takes a liking to Carl, and shows him around the Sanctuary in a twisted, almost funny attempt to bond with him. Both Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Chandler Riggs shine opposite each other, and their relationship adds a surprising emotional heft to the war.

The rest of the episode isn't nearly as strong as this development, though the scenes with a bitter Rosita and scared Eugene move the overarching story along nicely. It maybe could have done without Spencer Monroe's plans to usurp Rick's leadership, but the episode is passable entertainment regardless.
