4. The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life
The structure of season seven's violent finale comes from Sasha, who's trapped in a coffin and about to be used by Negan to blackmail her friends. Throughout the episode, she has flashbacks to her short time with Eugene, and comes to terms with what she has to do to keep her community safe.
Away from Sasha, The First Day of the Rest of Your Life also follows Rick, Daryl, Michonne and the whole of Alexandria as they prepare to take Negan and his followers down once-and-for-all, which leads to an epic battle between the various groups.
Admittedly, some of the pacing isn't great in regards to Sasha's flashbacks, and the battle lacks a compelling body count, but the action is full-throttle and full of enough betrayals to make it a strong finish to an otherwise weak season.
