The Walking Dead: Every Season 9 Episode Ranked Worst To Best
11. Omega
Omega suffers from a severely disjointed narrative, but makes up from its flaws with one of the season's most emotionally affecting episodes. It follows Daryl as he learns about the Whisperers through Lydia, and Tara as she struggles to lead Hilltop.
With its macabre twists and a searing performance from newcomer Samantha Morton, the episode allows Lydia to tell Daryl and Henry about her abusive mother, Alpha, which makes her grow close to the pair.
The drama brewing between Magna's group and Tara isn't quite as effective, but it foreshadows some big changes down the line. Season nine is scary in its execution, but watching Alpha's origin story is a new level of creepy that keeps the episode afloat brilliantly, even the Tara-centric B-plot.
