Strengths and Weaknesses: A piƱata for her abusive husband in Season 1, Carol isn't the wallflower she initially seemed to be. A good judge of character, handy with a knife or gun, and arch-manipulator when she needed, Carol's transformation has been stark. Liberated the moment her husband was removed from the picture, she didn't let his abuse or the death of her daughter become all-consuming, and instead channelled the energy into helping others. What would happen? A little like a not evil Petyr Baelish, Carol has an uncanny ability for political manoeuvring. At the same time, importantly, she has no real designs for power, content to look after others at the expense of herself. Carol is ideally suited to the world of Game Of Thrones and may even be the sort of Queen Westeros needs - but perhaps doesn't deserve - right now. Brave, she'd have no problem leading the troops into battle, and it's hard to see her getting fooled at a High Council meeting. That said, it's difficult to see her willingly taking on the poisoned chalice of chief monarch - she's much too clever for that. Instead you'd be more likely to see her in some sort of advisory role. Shame Tyrion has filled that position for Daenerys... How do you think these characters would do in Westeros? Share you guesses down in the comments.
